Pioneer League Announces Arizona Tryout Camp Following Success of Florida Event

Scottsdale, AZ – The Pioneer Baseball League (PBL), an MLB Partner League, is excited to announce its upcoming Arizona Tryout Camp, set to take place from April 15–17, 2025 at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, AZ. This follows the highly successful 2025 Florida Tryout Camp held in February, where 16 players were drafted and took the next step in their professional baseball careers.

The Florida Tryout Camp, held from February 21–23 at Northeast Regional Park in Davenport, FL, saw over 100 players showcase their talents through live scrimmages, drills, and evaluations. With PBL Managers, General Managers, and professional scouts from all 12 Pioneer League clubs in attendance, the camp provided a high-stakes environment where standout performers earned direct paths to professional contracts.

The Arizona Tryout Camp promises to be an equally valuable opportunity for aspiring professional players. What sets the PBL Tryout Camps apart is the cutting-edge performance data available to participants. Powered by Yakkertech and BaseballCloud, each player's performance—every pitch, swing, and defensive play—will be tracked and analyzed in real time, creating a complete, personalized data set for both development and future scouting opportunities.

  • Eligibility: Open to players aged 18 and older with less than three years of professional experience. Players who are not PBL-eligible are still encouraged to participate, as their data may be accessed by other professional leagues.

  • Direct Path to Pro Ball: 12 guaranteed draft picks will be offered to standout performers, with invitations to Spring Training for selected players.
