Honoring Trailblazers: Billings Mustangs Celebrate Eddie Moore and Bill Browne for Black History Month

To honor Black History Month #blackhistorymonth, the Billings Mustangs are celebrating the legacy of their first two black players, Eddie Moore and Bill Browne! Both were part of the 1950 Billings Mustangs Championship team in the @pioneerbaseballleague, with Moore making his debut with the Mustangs in 1949.

William "Bill" Browne played for the Mustangs from 1950-1951, appearing in 239 games and finishing with a .279 batting average, 220 hits, and 5 home runs across 2 seasons. Eddie Moore played 247 games with the Mustangs at just 19 and 20 years old, hitting an impressive .327 with 308 hits in 941 at-bats.
