Raptors Go Deep Three Times, Alexiades Collects Four Hits to Force Game 3

In a do-or-die game for the Raptors, their lineup got right down to business. Jonathan Soto opened the scoring with a two-run homer, and Dakota Conners extended Ogden's first-inning lead to four with a two-run double. The Vibes scored three times in the top of the fourth inning to trim their deficit to just one, but Ogden immediately got a run back on a solo homer by Landen Barns. Logan Williams cranked the third Ogden long ball of the night in the fifth, giving the Raptors a 6-3 lead. On the mound, Jake Mulholland delivered a quality start, holding the Vibes to three runs on six hits with two walks and six strikeouts over six innings.

The Vibes made things interesting in the top of the eighth, bringing the tying run to the plate after Austin Elder's RBI single. Dan Kubiuk entered and quashed the threat by striking out Mark Herron Jr. Reese Alexiades gave Ogden some breathing room in the bottom of the inning with a two-run single, his fourth hit of the night. He eventually came around to score on Juan Teixeira's sacrifice fly. Kubiuk nailed down the four-out save by striking out two more in a 1-2-3 ninth inning. The Raptors and Vibes head to an elimination game on Thursday night, which is scheduled for 6:30 at Lindquist Field.
