North Division Pitcher of the Week: Zach Penrod (Missoula PaddleHeads)

Zach Penrod of the Missoula PaddleHeads dealt two solid starts this week, completing 12 innings of dominance against the Billings Mustangs and the Ogden Raptors. In Monday’s game at Dehler Park, Penrod pitched seven innings and only allowed two hits and a single walk, striking out 13 batters in a shutout victory. He followed up the performance with a Sunday start against the red-hot Ogden Raptors, pitching a clean five innings while only allowing three hits and two runs, walking a pair, and striking out eight more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 


North Division Batter of the Week: Anthony Herron Jr. (Great Falls Voyagers)

In a very successful 4-2 week for the Great Falls Voyagers, Anthony Herron, Jr. put up impressive numbers to lead the offense. Herron started the action with a two-RBI double to walk off in Monday’s action and recorded multiple hits in every game for the rest of the week. He totaled 14 hits and 3 extra base hits, including a home run to cap off a four-hit performance on Saturday. He also batted nine runs across the plate in the series, doing so every day but Wednesday against the Chukars. The Voyagers got a much-needed series win against a divisional opponent.

South Division Pitcher of the Week: Mitchell Stone (Ogden Raptors)

In the concluding game against the Glacier Range Riders, Mitchell Stone threw a gem on Wednesday for the Ogden Raptors to secure South Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. In his six innings pitched, he allowed only three hits, two walks, and one earned run, while striking out 10 Range Riders. The solo home run Stone gave up in the third inning was the only run allowed by the Raptors in the win to avoid the series sweep. Stone’s outing was his second with double-digit strikeouts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


South Division Batter of the Week: D.J. Poteet (Boise Hawks)

  The Boise Hawks’ week was punctuated by D.J. Poteet’s spectacular performance at the plate, where he went for extra bases in every game against the Jackalopes and the Owlz. Poteet’s 10 hits, two doubles, two triples, and three home runs sent him everywhere around the diamond for the Hawks. He also drove in nine runs, including a two-run homer on Saturday and multiple RBI doubles on Thursday. By collecting seven extra base hits and at least one hit in every game this week, he has extended his hitting streak to a whopping 17 games.
