North Division Pitcher of the Week: Cam Tullar, Billings Mustangs 

Cam Tullar’s impressive start against the Great Falls Voyagers earned him this week’s North Division Pitcher of the Week award. In his second start of the season, he tallied 10 strikeouts and only gave up one walk in five innings. He gave up zero earned runs for the second straight game and has given up no earned runs in five of his seven appearances this season. Tullar struck out Great Falls batters when it mattered most, ending four of his five innings with strikeouts causing the Voyagers to leave six batters on base during his outing. He earned his first win of the season, securing a series win for the Mustangs who have won six of their last nine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

North Division Batter of the Week: Keaton Greenwalt, Missoula PaddleHeads

For the third week in a row, a Missoula PaddleHead has won North Division Batter of the Week award with Keaton Greenwalt receiving the honor this time. Greenwalt had a hit in every game this week, tallying 10 hits and 21 total bases in Missoula’s series against the Range Riders. He had three multi-hit games this week including a three hit effort in a win on June 14th. He slugged three home runs and had 5 RBI, while also being effective on the base path with four stolen bases. Greenwalt currently stands as the league leader for RBI with 33 on the season as the PaddleHeads continue to widen their lead over the rest of the North Division.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

South Division Pitcher of the Week: Brayden Spears, Boise Hawks

 

Brayden Spears started Boise’s series finale against the Vibes this week and his shut down performance earned the Hawks the sweep and Spears this week’s South Division Pitcher of the Week award. He pitched six innings against Rocky Mountain, giving up no runs and only allowing four hits. He struck out six, only walked two batters, and earned the win, his second of the season. Spears was solid during his longest outing of the season, not allowing more than one hit in an individual inning and only allowing more than one base runner in the first inning. Only one Rocky Mountain hitter reached second while Spears was on the mound.

 

 

 

 

 

 

South Division Hitter of the Week: Abdel Guadalupe, Northern Colorado Owlz

Northern Colorado outfielder Abdel Guadalupe was a nightmare for Grand Junction pitchers to face at the plate this week. Guadalupe showed off his power, hitting five home runs including two games with multiple home runs. He totaled eight hits, 23 total bases, and 11 RBI including a 5-RBI and 4-RBI game. Guadalupe only struck out three times this week and walked four times. Guadalupe has catapulted himself to first in the Pioneer League with nine home runs, passing last year’s MVP Jayson Newman-Dodd, and third in RBI with 28. His season batting average is now up to .357 and he has reached 30 hits on the season.
