PBL Players of the Week - Week 13

PBL Players of the Week (Week of 8-14-23)

North Division Pitcher of the Week: Connor Schultz, Missoula

A dominant performance by Connor Schultz at home against the Boise Hawks granted him the honors of PBL North Division Pitcher of the Week. Schultz went seven innings strong for the third time this season, striking five batters out while walking three and allowing two hits but with no earned runs. This is the second time this season that Schultz wins the award.

North Division Batter of the Week: Dean Miller, OF, Glacier

Dean Miller had a remarkable performance on the plate for the Range Riders this week, recording a hit in every game of the series against Idaho Falls, while having three games with three or more hits. Miller hit three home runs in the process, bringing ten runners in and posting a .542 batting average with .556 OBP and .958 SLG. Miller also has a Top-20 Exit Velocity in the PBL, according to TrackMan, at 111 mph.

South Division Pitcher of the Week: Justin Kleinsorge, Grand Junction

Justin Kleinsorge has once again claimed the title of South Division Pitcher of the Week, and is now the first four-time winner in any category in the 2023 season. For a second straight appearance, Kleinsorge went eight innings deep, with eleven strikeouts while allowing just one hit, two runs and two walks. The Jackalopes ace was perfect through six, and carried a no-hitter into the top of the ninth at home against Rocky Mountain.

South Division Batter of the Week: Abdel Guadalupe, OF, Northern Colorado

The Owlz featured Abdel Guadalupe as designated hitter in the series against Ogden last week, and the move definitely paid off. Guadalupe was the anchor point of Northern Colorado’s offense, helping the Owlz get the series win with a hit in every game, and four games with multiple hits, including a multi-homer-run performance, eight RBIs, a .481 batting average, and .741 SLG.
