Gwinnett College Standouts Begin Their Pro Careers Together

The Range Riders kicked off their season by facing the Rocky Mountain Vibes and the Billings Mustangs.  Among the players have seen so far playing for the Range Riders are Gwinnett College standouts, Gabe Howell and Griffin Keller. Howell, an infielder, and Keller, a utility guy, played critical roles in Gwinnett College's NAIA championship win a year ago. On Glacier’s roster, Howell is listed as a third baseman while Keller will primarily be an outfielder. Last season, both players had career years, with Howell having a .373 batting average, hitting 10 home runs, and driving in 64 runs. Keller also had an outstanding season, with 18 home runs, 89 RBIs, and a whopping .469 average in 228 at-bats. Both players are hoping to make a significant impact on the Range Riders this upcoming season.

The Glacier Range Riders will not be the only team to have a former member of the Gwinett College Grizzlies on its roster. Pitcher Hunter Dollander will be a member of the Great Falls Voyagers squad this upcoming season. A right-handed pitcher, Dollander joined Great Falls towards the end of last season, appearing in two games. Similarly to Howell and Keller, Dollander also had a stellar season in 2021, posting a 12 win, 3.03 ERA, and 99 strikeouts. This year he intends to emulate his season in 2021 when he pitches for the Voyagers.
