Range Riders pitching too much to handle for Voyagers

Voyagers Drop Second Game in 3 Game Series
(Great Falls, Mt.) On Saturday night, the Great Falls Voyagers (25-38/10-7) looked to secure a series win versus the Glacier Range Riders (37-26/6-11). The Voyagers faced tough pitching in the Range Riders starter, Noah Barros, as he threw six scoreless innings. On the other hand, the Voyagers had trouble with their starting pitcher, Kevin Kyle, as he gave up five runs in three innings.
The Voyagers could only muster seven hits in the entire game, as Colling Runge had a single to center in the first inning. Nick Emanuel had a single to left in the second, and Jaylen Williams had a single to right in the 4th. Xane Washington also had a single in the 5th inning, while Riley Jepson had one in the 8th. The only trouble for the Voyagers was nobody was able to drive the Voyager batters in, and they were left on base. A solo shot over the left field fence in the bottom of the 9th inning by Anthony Herron Jr. gave the Voyagers a trailing 5-1 score, and Eddie McCabe reached on a single to first. Emanuel had what appeared to be a double on the left field line, but it was ruled foul by the home plate umpire after the play was over. Emanuel then hit a double play ball to end the game with a Range Rider win of 5-1.
The Voyagers will face off against the Range Riders on Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. to try and get the win in game 3 of this short series. Take advantage of the fun, and come out and have some Brunch and Baseball as the Voyagers bring you all the great action!
