Voyagers Lose Game 3 in 3 Game Series

(Great Falls, Mt.) On Thursday night, the Great Falls Voyagers (28-44/13/13) lost their third game in a three-game home stand to the visiting Billings Mustangs (33-42/14-13) on Thursday night.
The Mustangs got out to an early lead leading after one inning 4-1 as Xane Washington drew a walk and was brought home on a sacrifice fly to center by Eddie McCabe. That was the extent of the Voyager scoring, however, until the 6th inning when they were able to push across 4 in that inning.
The 6th started with a single by Riley Jepson to right, as Jaylyn Williams was hit by a pitch. Anthony Herron Jr. had a double, scoring both Jepson and Williams in the process. The last two runs came courtesy of a home run over the left field wall by Gregory Ryan Jr., his first of the season for a 10-5 deficit after six innings.
Unfortunately for the Voyagers, the Mustangs were able to put up 12 runs over the next two innings to come away with a 22-5 win when the night was over. The Voyagers will go to Billings for a three-game set before returning home on August 21st for a doubleheader versus the Glacier Range Riders. The Range Riders games will start at noon and will be free to the public for two seven-inning games. The Voyagers will then take on the Boise Hawks in a six-game series at home.
