Party Like It's 1994!

The Mustangs win their 15th game in a row on the back of an eight-run come-from-behind bottom of the seventh inning. They beat the Voyagers 10-7.

It's the longest winning streak since 1994 - perhaps the longest in recorded Mustang history.

Both starting left-handers dueled through five scoreless innings. For Maybach, he worked out of a first inning jam where he gave up a one-out double to Giovanni Digiacomo and a 3-1 walk to Jevon Mason. He struck out Colin Runge on three pitches, and Charlie Hesse lined out to the second baseman to end the threat.

Maybach the next nine batters he saw, and managed to work around a two-out Hesse single in the fourth and Billy Hancock reaching on an error in the fifth. He also worked out of a runner in scoring position, with an assist by catcher John Michael Faile. Maybach hit Digiacomo with a pitch to start off the inning. Digiacomo successfully stole second, but his luck ran out trying to take third on a great throw by Faile. Maybach sent down the next two batters without much trouble.

In the bottom of the sixth, Gabe Wurtz offered at the first pitch and drilled it the other way off the right flag pole in right-center field to give the Mustangs a 1-0 lead.

An Alejandro Figueredo double set up for a Brendan Ryan RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.

Top of the seventh, and Maybach ran into trouble, but his defense didn't help.

Hesse reached on an error by Blake Evans to reach in the seventh, and the next two batters, Edie McCabe and Ryan Peltier, singled with Peltier bringing home Hesse to make it 2-1.

Manny Garcia attempted a sacrifice bunt, but nobody covered the bag at first and everyone advanced, including McCabe to home to tie it at 2.

Xane Washington gave the Voyagers a 3-2 lead on an RBI single. Maybach exited the game after one more batter, inducing a ground ball by DiGiacomo. Meanwhile, Nate Jenkins entered the game and Jevon Mason collected a two-out RBI-knock to put the Voyagers ahead 5-2. Hesse capped off the inning with a two-rbi single to go up 7-2.

The Mustangs had some fight in them in the home half. Bo Blessie entered for the starter Casey Minchey, who tossed six strong innings giving up just two runs on six hits with six strikeouts.

Blessie had trouble locating the strike zone and walked the three batters he faced - Emmanuel Sanchez, Mikey Edie, and Taylor Lomack. That ended Blessie's night, as Jaylyn Smith entered the game and had trouble. In the first at-bat, Wurtz hit a ball to third which scored a run as Peltier stepped on the bag to send down Edie, and Wurtz beat out the throw for one out and Sanchez scored.

Faile took a two-strike approach and drilled a ball up the middle to score Lomack to make it 7-4. With the bases loaded, after a Figueredo walk, Brendan Ryan brought home Wurtz and Faile to make it 7-6.

Luke Fennelly became the hero with a three-run rocket to left field to go on top 9-7. Edie added on with a stand-up RBI triple to pull ahead 10-7.

Jacob Stobart tossed a clean 1-2-3 top of the eighth, while Trevor Jackson shut the door for his fourth save this season. Maybach received a no-decision, and Nate Jenkins earned the win for the Mustangs.
