Offensive Outburst Ends with Late Collapse

Missoula, MT. - The Glacier Range Riders (35-48, 18-18 second half) came out to a roaring start, but the Missoula Paddleheads (60-24, 25-12 second half) found their groove at the last possible moment and had a monster comeback in the bottom of the ninth, walking off Glacier by a score of 12-11.

Mason Dinesen got the scoring started for the Range Riders when he notched an RBI single in the top of the second and in the third, it was a two-run home run by Brody Wofford that made it 3-0 Glacier. After a solo shot by Missoula, Glacier continued to find the longball, putting back-to-back home runs over the fence by Dean Miller and Wofford that made it 6-1. A Dinesen triple and a Ryan Cash RBI groundout each tacked on another run. Then Brandt Broussard went yard in the eighth with his fifth hit of the game. The final tally of the contest was brought across by Drew Sims when he pushed Eddie McCabe across on an infield single.

Up six going into the bottom of the ninth, a nightmare became reality as the Paddleheads strung together eight hits and a walk to eventually find a game winning hit by Kamron Willman to walk it off.
