Davis, Ca.----The Yolo High Wheelers (12-10) returned home and were rude hosts to the Oakland Ballers (14-11) in a 17-1 win on Tuesday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium.  For the fifth straight game, every High Wheeler in the lineup reached base safely and it was the seventh straight contest the club had double digits in hits (96 in that span).  Yolo had 16 hits overall.

 
After the Ballers scored a run in the first, the High Wheelers took it from there scoring twice in the bottom of the inning:  one run scored on a throwing error by Oakland catcher Colton Hoerner, and the other on an RBI double by first baseman Jose Gonzalez.  
 
The High Wheelers scored a run in the second and two in the fourth but blew things open with six in the sixth sending up ten batters.  The run-producers were Gonzalez with a two-run double, second baseman Kirkland Banks had a two-run single, and catcher Angel Mendoza chipped in with a run-scoring single.
 
Yolo added three more runs in each of the seventh and eighth innings.  Shortstop Braylin Marine (3) led off the seventh with a homer.  That was part of a five-hit day for him--the most hits in one game by a Yolo player.  He was 5-6 with five runs scored.  Designated hitter Bobby Lada reached base safely six times (most by a High Wheeler).  He finished 4-4 with four stolen bases (most by a High Wheeler) and also scored five runs.  The five runs scored are the most this year in one game for Yolo.
 
High Wheelers manager Billy Horton said about the Marine-Lada combo, "both are doing a great job offensively and running the bases."
 
Lada added, "Marine's right in front of me and that motivates me a lot.  It helps me become a better baseball player."  Regarding all the offense of late, Lada said about the team, "that's pretty cool, we (our team) seem pretty close."
 
Lost in all the offense was the stellar starting pitching by Cameron Repetti (2-1). The right-hander struck out nine in six innings and allowed one run (unearned).  It's back-to-back starts for him with nine punchouts.
 
"Repetti filled up the zone.  He leads by example," Horton said.
 
Third baseman Braedon Blackford went 1-3 with three RBI's.  He has seven runs batted in over his last three games.
 
Oakland's Aaron Eden (2-3) suffered the loss.  He gave up eight hits in 3 1/3 innings and surrendered five runs (all earned).
 
The teams meet again on Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. first pitch in Davis.  The scheduled starters are Oakland right-hander Christian Cosby (2-1) and lefty Dawson Lane (0-1).
 
HIGH TALES
Despite all the offense, the player with the longest hitting streak for Yolo coming into the game was right fielder Tanner Smith who had it halted at nine games.  He still contributed by walking twice, scoring a run, and had an RBI
 
Marine now has the longest Yolo hitting streak at nine.  During that time, he's 22-44 (.500) and has reached base safely 20 times in his last seven games.  He has eight RBI's over his last two games.
 
Lada's hitting streak is at eight (20-35, .571)
 
Left fielder Justin Kirby has scored at least one run seven straight contests
 
Right-hander Noah Lewis made his home debut for Yolo, finishing the game.  In three relief outings he has four shutout innings
 
The 17 runs were not the most scored this season by Yolo.  The High Wheelers high in that department was 19 in a win against Grand Junction on May 28th
