Paddleheads Tie Up Series in Game Two

The Voyagers dropped game 2 yesterday in their final road trip against Missoula this season; the series is now tied at one game each.

Danny Galvan got the start for the Voyagers against Missoula's Alfredo Villa. Villa has been one of the best pitchers in the league this season, but the Voyagers did a pretty good job against him on this occasion. Villa went 5 innings, surrendering 4 earned runs on 4 hits and 4 walks.

Galvan struggled in his start against the mighty Paddleheads offense. Missoula continues their hot streak on offense that has seemingly gone on most of the year, scoring 6 runs in the first three innings, and then a big 7-run inning in the 4th against relievers Washilewski and Carillo.

The 5th inning saw Hylan Hall blast his 3rd home run in the past two days, this time, a two-run shot to left-center, his 5th of the season. But due to the Paddleheads offense, the Voyagers still trailed big after 5 innings, the score was 14-4.

The sixth inning saw another home run for the good guys, this time a three-run shot for new catcher Jeff Nicol. This was the first home run in the Pioneer League for Jeff.

The Voyagers were still down big after the 6th, however, and were unable to score again in this one. Final score: 18-7. The series is now even at 1 game a piece. Game three was supposed to be at 7:05 PM in Missoula tonight, however, due to weather, the game has been moved to 5 PM on Saturday, with a doubleheader to boot on that day.
