Voyagers Drop Game Five to Boise

The Great Falls Voyagers wrap up their series against The Boise Hawks this morning after taking a tough loss last night in game five. Matthew Hickey will get the starting nod for the V's today as they look to tie the series at three games a piece.

Kenny Carillo got the start for Great Falls last night, and unfortunately, he did not have his best stuff. Coming off an injury and having missed a start, Kenny's arm was fresh, but struggled early, so Steven Washilewski came in for relief in an emergency.

Washilewski gave 5.1 solid innings in relief. He gave up 3 runs on 8 hits with four walks and 2 strikeouts. Steve inherited a Boise offense riding a lot of momentum, and was able to settle in and weather the storm, with scoreless innings in the third and fourth.

Boise's offense wouldn't be denied, however, as they continued to add more runs in the second half of the game, when it really became out of reach.

The Voyagers bats come alive in the 9th with home runs from Ryan Holgate and Hernan Yanez, but it was too little, too late, final score: 19-4.
